All About Gwalior : Part 1

Hello Everyone,
How are you all? Hope all are doing fine. I had a reason for being disappeared for long. Actually, I was exploring a city and was making notes on where you all can go if you visit that city. As the title says all I will be telling you places to try particular cuisines in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
Well, my week in exploring places told me about so many places and so I will divide this tour into 2 posts.
Starting with my 1st post I will share about the restaurants to try on. So let’s start…
Indian Coffee House
Well, many might have heard about this place as it has franchisees all over India. This place serves amazing south Indian food and their dosas are something to die for. Though the sambhar taste more of asafoetida; but the chutneys and all the south Indian dishes are worth having. Walking distance from railway station this place is simple in ambience, good in service and yes it is always crowded. So you need to wait for few minutes.

Cooks
Known for its fast food, this place is located near ooth pool in patankar bazar and serves some good food. Service is quick and the ambience is soothing. Burger and pizza are worth having here and also you can try anything from the menu and you will like it. The dip they serve with French fries is unique in its own way.

Shan Shaukat
Located at Shinde ki chawani this place is quite decent in ambience and the service is quick. It is known for its sweets and also serves amazing Pav Bhaji too.  Trust me and try out the pav bhaji here and you will love it for sure.

Mirchi
Located near Achleshwar temple this place serves best chole bhature in town and I can bet that you will love it for sure. Spicy and scrumptious chole served with piping hot chole served with onions and pickle this place is heaven for chole bhature.
Choti Wala
Located on station road this is perfect if you want to have some north Indian food. The service here is a little bit slow and the ambience is also very simple but the food is worth having. Must try out here is puri sabzi as that is the speciality over here.

Punjabi Delight
Located at Lalitpur Colony, this place also serves amazing North Indian food. The ambience is quite soothing and service is normal this place serves amazing daal makhani and also other dishes from the menu are worth trying.
Chaudhry Ka Dhaba & Rituraj
Well, these two are the nearby Dhaba which serves amazing food which you crave to have in Dhaba. Please don’t ask about the ambience as it has what you will find in most of the dhaba but the service is quick and they are friendly enough to help. Try out daal tadka or daal makhani and you will fell in love with it. Both places have their own unique taste in Dhaba food and are worth trying.
Param
Located on SKV Road, this place has a nice ambience with a little slow service. They serve amazing pasta and sandwiches. The chutney served with the sandwiches has its unique taste. The place is also known for its bakery products and the cakes are worth having. They do serve Chinese too but my liking is more towards sandwiches and pasta served here.
Amritsari Kulcha
Located on Achleshwar Road this place has very little in the menu but the food served here beats every other place. (Though, each place has its own uniqueness in food.) This place best serves dal makhani with Naan. Naan served here are really soft and perfectly made. The best naan I ever had from long.
Captain’s CafĂ©
Located in the city centre this place is famous for its scrumptious food. The ambience is done amazingly. The place is catchy in its own way. The service is quick and the staff is friendly and helping. Try pasta, rolls and thick shakes, actually anything from the menu here. I love the shakes specifically.
Overall, all the places mentioned above are tried and tasted and trust me its worth trying. I will be back with the 2nd post of my Gwalior visit soon.
